Production process

Features of FRP pipes:FRP pipes are composed of an inner layer, a winding layer, a resin mortar layer, and an outer anti-corrosion layer. Its density is 1.7-2.1, which is equivalent to one-fifth of a steel pipe, one-quarter of a cast steel pipe, and three-quarters of a prestressed concrete pipe. Since there is a fiber winding reinforcement structure on both sides of the resin mortar layer, the fiber content is 70%, which can meet the strength requirements of the pipeline. In addition, since the resin mortar layer is in the middle area---the low stress area, the rigidity of the pipeline is increased without reducing the strength of the pipeline.

Corrosion resistance:The corrosion resistance of FRP pipes mainly depends on the inner layer resin, which is selected according to the medium conditions. The glass fiber reinforced resin-rich layer with a resin content of 80% can ensure that the FRP pipe will not corrode or leak.

Good hydraulic performance:The inner wall of FRP pipe is smooth and has a small roughness coefficient. Not only is the inner wall of the new pipe smooth, but it is still as smooth as when it was just shipped after many years of use. It does not adhere to aquatic organisms such as seaweed, and the hydraulic coefficient (C) can be maintained between 140 and 150 for a long time. According to relevant tests, its friction coefficient (f) is 0.000915, which is smaller than (f-0.00232) and steel pipe (SP) (f=0.00179), which can significantly reduce the pressure head loss and increase the conveying capacity by more than 20%. Therefore, under the same conveying capacity, a smaller diameter FRP pipe can be used to save engineering investment.

Hygienic properties of FRP pipes:The main materials of FRP pipes are unsaturated resin and glass fiber, which are formed through a specific process, so their inner surface is very smooth and the stiffness is above 40 HBa. The unsaturated resin itself has been certified by the national health department, and the RPM pipe has also been verified by the national health department. Therefore, FRP pipes can be fully used for the transportation of drinking water, and there have been more than 20 years of practical application examples.
